Minister Orders Inquiry Into Entire Tealing–Kintore Line

Earlier this year Angus Councillors unanimously objected to the TKUP 400kV OHL which triggered a Public Inquiry. However, the Reporters had suggested that the Inquiry would be solely for the half of the line in Angus.

The three aligned groups of APAG, DAP and STIG naturally challenged this as Angus had objected to SSEN’s entire application.

So, today we are pleased to announce that the Minister has made a welcome decision in response to our letter and we have secured an inquiry for the full line from Tealing to Kintore.

The pre-examination meeting (PEM) is likely to be in person, potentially 20th March with the location to be confirmed. Potential inquiry dates are weeks commencing 15 and 22 June, however, these may change due to school holidays.

Hopefully this proves that Friday, 13th can be a great day and helps us move forward with a clearer picture of the way (and work) ahead.
