Tuesday 16th December is the Angus Council Predetermination Meeting for substation at Balkemback.

Unlike the OHL Application which will be determined by the ECU, (although Angus Council had a say in that part of the project as they were Statutory Consultees) this project will be determined by Angus Council as the Planning Authority.

Can we please ask you contact your local Angus Councillors to let them know you are against the proposed new substation?

Many of you contacted the ECU regarding the proposed new OHL, but this is a different part of the project, and we would urge you to contact Angus Council and let your Councillors know how you feel about the proposed new substation.

Below is a photo of the existing Tealing substation, but the proposed new one will be within a boundary of 225 acres with a development platform of 50 acres which is the equivalent of 28 football pitches.
